My Story

Alex has been supporting clients since 2014. Working in public health, hospital, community, school and private practice. He enjoys works with a range of clients, children, teenagers, adults, couples and groups.

Trained as a counsellor in South Africa, he works with clients, struggling with anxiety, burnout, stress, sleep challenges, and substance misuse. Alex also works closely with marginalised communities and provided affirming services to the LGBTQIA+ community, and the Neurodivergent community (e.g. ASD, ADHD).

Moving to and further training in Singapore, Alex continues to work in private practice. He supports clients with challenges in their relationships, attachments issues, affirming gender and identity development. Alex often draws on his systemic training and works with family units, providing parental support in addition to the services for his clients. A firm believer in good enough parenting.

Alex also has a special interest in running groups for both social skills training and art therapy process groups, enjoying the impact these opportunities provide clients.

Alex makes use of a range of models when working with clients, including ACT, CBT, Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Sandplay Therapy and Wellness Counselling.

A proud South African, Alex holds family, friends, culture, and diversity as core values. Believing that authenticity and a dash of humour goes a long way.
